Vernee prepping up to release its MediaTek X25 chipset powered flagship smartphone called Vernee Apollo in the near future. The company has already its lighter edition named Vernee Apollo Lite. On AnTuTu benchmarks, the Apollo Lite has managed to score nearly 95,000 points.

The Vernee Apollo Lite is fueled by MediaTek Helio X20 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. On AnTuTu, it has recorded its first benchmark score of 94,919 points. As an evidence, the company has also released a video showing the AnTuTu benchmark prowess of the Apollo Lite.

The Helio X20 SoC is the most powerful chipset from MediaTek that features a deca-core processor. It has been used to power other popular flagship and upper midrange smartphones such as Meizu Pro 6 and LeEco Le 2 Pro. The Tri-Cluster technology of the chipset is also one of its major USPs that decreases the power consumption by 30 percent.

Specifications like Helio X20 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage are present under the hood of Meizu Pro 6, LeEco Le 2 Pro and Zopo Speed 8. The three smartphones are respectively priced around $400, $250 and $299. The Vernee Apollo Lite that also features the same specs is much cheaper with a pricing of $229.

The Apollo Lite is currently available on preorders and it will start shipping from July. It is packed with a 5.5-inch full HD screen. Its external storage supports up to 128 GB of microSD card. It comes preinstalled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

It has a 16-megapixel main camera from Samsung that is equipped with ISOCELL technology. It has a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel. Its USB Type-C supports USB-C earphone connectivity. It also features a dedicated 3.5 mm audio jack. Other features of the smartphone include USB OTG, fingerprint reader and a 3,180 mAh capacity.
