Arsenal took advantage of two second-half penalty kick opportunities, as the Gunners came back from two goals down to defeat Aston Villa, 3-2, in the FA Cup fourth round at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Aston Villa scored two first half goals to take the seemingly comfortable lead into half time.

Richard Dunne got the scoring started in the 33rd minute with a header following a cornerkick.

Moments before the halftime whistle, Darren Bent converted the second goal in stunning fashion, as the forward rebounded his first shot, which was blocked by Lukasz Fabianski, and then followed it up with an improved strike that Fabianski was unable to save.

The second half was dominated by the Gunners.

Striker Robin van Persie converted two penalty kicks. The first in the 54th minute to cut the lead in half, and the second in the 61st minute to put the Gunners ahead. Dunne and Bent committed the fouls that led to the penalties.

Winger Theo Walcott did a clever job of creating his own shot, before deflecting the ball into the net in the 57th minute to even the match.

Arsenal took 17 shots with 12 on goal, while Aston Villa took seven shots with five on goal. Arsenal controlled possession for 61 percent of the match.
