Inter Milan and CSKA Moscow played to a high-scoring and entertaining match at Luzhniki Stadium, as Mauro Zarate scored the game winner in the 78th minute to give Inter the victory, 3-2, in Champions League group play.

Centre back Lucio gave Inter the lead in the sixth minute. The Brazilian scored after the ball found its way to him off a corner kick that bounced off a header.

Inter forward Giampaolo Pazzini doubled the lead midway through the first half after Yuto Nagatomo's dribble-drive into the box led to a cross that Pazzini easily knocked in.

CSKA Moscow would come right back with Alan Dzagoev's freekick goal from just outside the box, moments before the halftime whistle.

Vagner Love equalized for Moscow with right-footed shot from the left side of the box in the 77th minute, and suddenly the Russian club appeared to be on their way to at least a point.

But the levelled score wouldn't last long. Zarate ripped a left-footed shot from outside the box to give Inter the victory.

Inter took 16 shots, with nine on goal, while Moscow took 15 shots with six on goal. However, Moscow dominated possession, as the home club controlled the ball for 62 percent of the match.
