vikings season 3 spoilers
Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard), Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Rollo (Clive Standen) will raid Paris once again in episode 9 of "Vikings." History Channel

Can you believe there’s only two episodes of “Vikings” left? Guess time really does fly when you’re raiding various villages! And that’s exactly what our favorite Nordic warriors will continue doing in episode 9, titled “Breaking Point,” as they dust themselves off and attempt to take control over Paris once again.

According to the episode 9 synopsis of the History Channel series, “the Vikings will go all out for a second assault on Paris” in Thursday night’s installment. For those who don’t remember, the pagans weren’t exactly successful in their first raid against the Parisians.

Many swordsmen and shieldmaidens met their gruesome demise while trying to get into the city of Paris during “To The Gates.” The chilling fates ranged from getting burned to death (French fighters poured hot oil on the Vikings as they tried to scale the walls) to getting impaled by thick spears. Luckily, all of our favorite characters survived -- by a hair.

With the Lokbrok clan still (barely) alive, Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) will be even more adamant about ruling the city his dead friend Athelstan (George Blagden) had told him so much about.

“Paris is everything you told me it would be,” the king gushed to Athelstan’s spirit in episode 8 of “Vikings.” “I am bound and determined to conquer it.” (Looks like Blagden wasn't kidding when he told the International Business Times that his character's presence would be felt throughout the remaining episodes of the third season!)

Ragnar’s lust for power, blood and land will quickly be made known in episode 9, in which Emperor Charles (Lothaire Bluteau) will make a “difficult decision” after he recognizes the “desperate state of affairs for his city,” the summary teases.

Meanwhile, in Wessex, Judith (Sarah Greene) will be stuck between a rock and a hard place when she's forced into a complicated situation. Could the complex issue involve King Ecbert's (Linus Roache) proposal? In the promo video, viewers can see the king offer Judith an interesting proposition.

“I intend to pass on to you the kingdom of England,” Ecbert claims in the scene. But if we were Judith, we would take his offer with a grain of salt considering we know the king isn’t as trustworthy as he may seem. As Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) so bluntly put it in episode 4, “I have come to understand that the only person you truly care for is yourself.”
