“Vikings” Season 4 Spoilers
The Northmen will continue their journey to Paris in “Vikings” Season 4, episode 9. History Channel

There’s only two episodes left until “Vikings” airs its Season 4 midseason finale. And based on the description of episode 9 of the History Channel series, audiences should prepare themselves for a blood-soaked conclusion.

In the installment titled “Death All ’Round,” viewers are teased that a certain character may meet his fate in the next episode.

“Erlendur (Edvin Endre) told me to kill you to avenge the death of his father,” Torvi (Georgia Hirst) says to Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) as she holds a bow in her hand. During episode 8, Torvi had a vision that Erlendur had shot and killed Bjorn with the Frankish weapon. But little did she know she would be the one forced to put an arrow through the heart of Ragnar’s (Travis Fimmel) son.

However, Bjorn Ironside is fearless and asks Torvi, who is sporting a bloody lip, what she’s “waiting for.”

It was also revealed in the episode 9 synopsis that as the Vikings get close to Paris, they’ll relaunch their ships in the water after lugging them over the mountains. “But this time the ships bear interesting structures made by Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård),” the summary adds.

In the trailer for “Death All ’Round,” Ragnar reveals that his mission has slightly changed. He’s no longer interested in conquering the city of Paris: Now he wants the head of his treacherous brother — and it looks like the feeling is mutual.

Rollo (Clive Standen) had previously explained to Emperor Charles (Lothaire Bluteau) that the only way to truly defeat the great Ragnar Lothbrok is by killing him. Time to draw your weapons, boys!

Meanwhile in Wessex, King Ecbert (Linus Roache) will reunite with King Aelle (Ivan Kaye) in episode 9. And the disgruntled ruler of Northumbria will be less than thrilled to break bread with the immoral monarch.

“Vikings” airs on History Channel Thursdays at 10 p.m. EDT.
