Vin Diesel shared a black-and-white photo from the set of his highly anticipated movie, "Fast X," which will mark the last installment of the "Fast & Furious" franchise.

The 55-year-old actor, who shared the on-set photo on Instagram over the weekend, was standing near a vehicle that had a massive camera installed for apparently filming a scene. Rome's Colosseum was seen in the background of the actor.

Looking at the photo, it is clear the story of the movie will also showcase some scenes in Rome. The actor shared in the caption of the post about how proud he was that the franchise had come this far. He also thanked all the fans for believing in the franchise.

"We've come a long way... our crew, our cast, our studio has never stopped reaching higher," he wrote. "Most importantly, you never stopped believing in us. Thank you. Hope to make you proud. All love, Always."

Fans in the comments section shared their excitement for the upcoming flick.

"I can't wait to watch Fast X," a fan wrote, while another one suggested Diesel should make more movies in the same genre: "Make movies about racing again."

This is not the first time the actor shared behind the scenes with his 82.2 million followers on Instagram. Previously, the actor posted a photo on Instagram in May, featuring himself with co-star Brie Larson on the sets.

Larson, who is popularly known for playing Captain Marvel, will appear in this car racing franchise for the first time. Aside from Larson, Diesel has also introduced 90-year-old actress Rita Moreno in the franchise. He shared the news via Instagram in May.

"Fast X" is scheduled to release in theaters on May 19, 2023. The movie is helmed by director Louis Leterrier after director Justin Lin announced he won't continue as a director.

"Fast X" also stars Jason Momoa, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster and Charlize Theron.
