The American Music Awards 2020 show on Sunday still went on in midst of a global pandemic, but with social distancing guidelines and various regulations put in place. Out of all the performances and awards, there was one that stuck out to viewers more than the others: Jennifer Lopez's.

J.Lo’s performances are usually always ones that are talked about on social media the next day, and this one was no exception. At the AMAs, she performed “Pa’Ti” and “Lonely” with Maluma, her “Marry Me” co-star. However, Beyoncé fans are now questioning if Lopez’s performance copied an act first put on by Queen B in 2014.

Some are now comparing Lopez's latest performance to Beyoncé's “Drunk in Love” show from the 56th annual Grammy Awards. J.Lo is even being accused of possibly copying her stage set up, according to InStyle.

During the performance, Lopez stepped out on the stage wearing an all-black, skin-tight bodysuit while she and her backup dancers used chairs as props. For a large portion of the act, she cozies up to Maluma. During Beyoncé's Grammy appearance, she also wore a black body-suit type costume while performing a sensual act with her husband, Jay-Z.

Social media users are even narrowing down the similarities to the hairstyles the women rocked, which were both short and “wet.”

Some social media users believe this was just a coincidence and that J.Lo was just doing her own thing and not copying anyone’s act.

Others online noted that they wished J.Lo would be original and come up with her own performance details.

To date, neither party has commented on the accusations or responded to any of the positive or negative comments.
