  • Dustin Poirier’s wife Jolie showed Conor McGregor the middle finger at UFC 264
  • McGregor was still mocking Poirier and Jolie after the fight
  • Poirier suggested that the former UFC champ’s injury was "karma"

Dustin Poirier’s wife Jolie had a blunt response to Conor McGregor’s claims.

Rivaling UFC lightweights Poirier and McGregor had exchanged insults leading up to their rubber match at UFC 264 last weekend, and apparently, the animosity didn’t end after the fight.

In a video uploaded by Twitter user Out of Context MMA, Poirier’s wife Jolie could be seen giving the former two-division UFC champ the middle finger as she walks across the octagon — right after McGregor told Poirier, “Your wife is in my DMs,” during his post-fight interview.

Upon noticing that Jolie was among the people roaming around the cage, McGregor added, “Hey baby, hit me back up and I’ll chat to you later on.”

Poirier was already done with his post-fight interview when the intense moment happened. However, “The Diamond” was also seen being calmed by several event staff as he seemingly attempts to get close to McGregor.

In his post-fight interview, Poirier said that he “can take” all of McGregor’s “trash-talk.” He also suggested that his opponent’s horrible ankle injury, which led to the fight being stopped, was “karma” for crossing the line several times ahead of the fight.

“I can take, you know, the trash-talk,” Poirier told UFC color commentator Joe Rogan. “There’s no holds barred with the trash-talk, right?”

“But murder is something you don’t clown around about, there’s no coming back from that, and this guy was saying he was gonna murder me and all kinds of stuff,” he continued. “He was telling me he was gonna kill me tomorrow. I’m gonna leave here in a coffin. You don’t talk like that to people, man. I hope he gets home safe to his beautiful family.”

The UFC lightweight contender added, “But, you know, this guy is a dirtbag. Karma is not a b----, she’s a mirror, and this guy said the wrong s---.”

It can be recalled that Jolie’s involvement in the McGregor-Poirier rift started when “Notorious” posted an alleged screenshot of an Instagram message request from her.

Addressing the subject ahead of the fight, Poirier said it would have been a good move had it been true but said the screenshot was “fabricated.”

“If it was real and my wife was messaging him or something like that then it's a good move,” Poirier told Michael Bisping in an interview. “But if it's fabricated or ... so you know, me and my wife were laughing about it yesterday when I was at the grocery store. But it's just ... there's no holds barred in the s--t-talking.”
