Being pregnant means that even mundane things become a challenge, Carrie Underwood has come to find. The singer recently posted a video that shows how her toddler son and her husband help her with routine tasks like tying the laces of her shoes.

In a video posted on Instagram, Underwood claimed that she can no longer tie her own shoes. She, however, has two men helping her with this task. Her husband, Mike Fisher, and her 3-year-old son, Isaiah Michael, each took on one shoe to tie.

“Hard to do it backwards isn’t it?” Fisher remarked, before saying that the boy came pretty close to getting it right.

Underwood can also be heard complimenting her son for doing a good job. “I can do it. Relax,” their son told his father when the latter tried to finish tying the second shoe.

When Underwood asked her son to let his father fix it a little, he refused. “No. I got it,” Michael said, continuing to tie the shoelace. He couldn’t do it, but insisted that he will do it in “cool” way.

“If you do it too cool, I can’t get it off later,” Underwood told her son.

Later, her husband took over, but his son insisted that he can do it.

An insider told People that Underwood and her family moved into their house in Leiper’s Fork, a rural suburb in Nashville, Tennessee. The celebrity mom is said to be on “lockdown” until her baby arrives. The couple has the route to the hospital mapped out to make sure there are no problems when there’s an emergency.

According to US Weekly, Underwood previously spoke about the challenges of insomnia that come with pregnancy. While different women find ways of coping with these challenges, Underwood lamented the fact that she spent $600 for a single night on makeup. She blamed the purchase on insomnia. She also joked about how dads should be getting insomnia instead of mothers like her.

Underwood has suffered miscarriages before. In a previous interview, the singer said that she is grateful that her family is growing. She added that she was excited when she found out that she was pregnant.

The baby appears to be due soon. Underwood is all set to resume her work after the baby arrives. Her “Cry Pretty” tour is expected to continue in May.
