PaxPower, which is known for its Ford F-150 Raptor conversions, has aggressively overhauled the Chevy Silverado 1500 to introduce the Jackal. Offered in three different packages, the Jackal upgrade can customize the Silverado into one behemoth of a pickup truck.

In its entry-level package, the Jackal gives the Silverado 1500 some added personality by integrating upper control arms, 2.5-inch front coilovers, and enhanced rear shocks. A custom hood is also added to the truck along with 2-inch flared fenders. Cost of the upgrade is $15,000.

Silverado owners that are looking for a little bit customization more may opt for the secondary upgrade package that converts the 1500 with more performance features. The coilovers are adjustable in this configuration and equipped with additional suspension travel. More durability is added to the rear suspension along with a wider track.

The secondary conversion also calls for 4-inch fender flares to give that wider stance while customer axles, steering links, sway bar links, and brakes lines are added. Cost of the conversion is $25,000, which PaxPower said at this level heavily competes with Ford’s F-150 Raptor model “ in terms of price, performance, appearance, and off-road capabilities.”

Power on the Jackal is where the upgrade really shines as 22 additional horsepower is added on the second and third level upgrades to the 6.2-liter V8 engine to develop 442 total horsepower. The power increase is thanks to a cold air kit, new exhaust, and GM Performance calibration.

In the top-end upgrade, PaxPower also adds 3-inch internal bypass coilovers and progressive-rate leaf springs. Custom bumpers are installed as well as lights and 37-inch off-road tires. Cost to add the top-end upgrade is $35,000.

The Jackal engine conversion doesn’t void out the Silverado factory warranty as it’s a factory OEM upgrade, according to PaxPower. The Jackal enhancements can be added to any 2019 Silverado or newer model, and can be ordered from select dealerships at the time of buying the truck.
