Kate Middleton plans to dress modestly for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding so she won't overshadow the bride.

While a number are already very excited to see Markle's wedding gown, some are also interested in what the Duchess of Cambridge will wear to the event. Fashion bloggers Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan have speculated that Middleton's outfit will be understated. The royal may also rewear an ensemble because she would not want to draw attention to herself.

"Kate is going to go very, very understated, much as she did for Pippa's wedding," Morgan told Town & Country. "My gut feeling is that she'll go for Cambridge blue, but, whatever she wears, it will be EXTREMELY simple and classic, because I think she will be very conscious of not wishing to draw focus from the bride."

Meanwhile, Cocks thinks Middleton will pick an Alexander McQueen or Emilia Wickstead dress. "There isn't a ban on patterns for the upper-echelon royals, and that's something Wickstead could pull off with an elegant, light touch," she explained.

On the other hand, WWKD speculated that Middleton might opt to rewear an outfit because this makes it less exciting for spectators. Thus, she can effectively keep herself from the spotlight, which should be on Markle.

"Kate will do everything she can to not take any limelight away from Meghan, so we definitely expect the Duchess to repeat an outfit. Her bespoke embroidered Catherine Walker coat dress is a perfect choice," WWKD said. "She's only worn this coat once before, but repeating an outfit makes it less exciting from a reporting standpoint, thus keeping the focus on the bride."

Meanwhile, the royals, including Queen Elizabeth II, Camilla Parker Bowles and Middleton, are required to wear a hat for Prince Harry and Markle's wedding. This is part of their tradition to which the queen and her immediate family members are bound to.

In related news, on Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge opened a new addiction treatment center in Wickford. When Middleton arrived, her stiletto heels got caught in a grate. Fortunately, the pregnant royal was able to maintain her balance. She just laughed off the mishap and continued greeting the staff.
