A very surprising 27th Season of “Dancing With the Stars” ended with the most unexpected final results yet, but that doesn’t mean fans aren’t already looking forward to the show making a return for Season 28 this Spring.

In an unexpected twist in the final moments of the ABC show’s finale, Team Beauty And The Geek, a.k.a. Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess. Were declared the winners despite having the lowest scores from the judges. As the show signed off, co-host Erin Andrews revealed fans would be able to see the show again in 2019, but no other information was made available.

It is unclear whether the show would be making a return for a full season, or if it would follow the pattern it had for Season 26, with a shortened four-week run. Due to the return of “American Idol,” “Dancing With the Stars” was delayed on a premiere date until April, and only ran for four weeks. The series focused on all Athlete competitors as well.

The season wasn’t overly popular with fans, however, who complained about the show being so short, so it’s unclear if ABC would bring the concept to life once again.

Of course, following the results of Season 27, where Bones beat out other competitors who had received perfect scores from the judges, including fellow finalists Alexis Ren, Evanna Lynch and Milo Manheim, as well as semi-finalist Juan Pablo di Pace, some fans are threatening not to watch again in revolt.

Until more information is released regarding the show’s 28th season, fans who still want to watch some dancing can tune in to “Dancing With the Stars: Juniors,” which is still airing on Sundays until its finale on Dec. 9.
