After nearly a week in the hospital, Kanye West’s doctors have determined that he is not yet ready to be released. The “Famous” rapper was admitted involuntarily on Nov. 21 on a 5150 hold to undergo psychiatric evaluation after doctors noticed he had been “acting erratically.”

According to TMZ, West was scheduled for release from the hospital on Monday. After further evaluation, however, doctors have found that he’s still not stable enough to go home. West, 39, is being held at UCLA Medical Center and will reportedly be released to his personal doctor’s care after his stay. At this time, no release date has been set.

Although the 21-time Grammy award winner has not been permitted to leave the hospital, he’s had plenty of visitors. On Nov. 25, E! News reported that Kim Kardashian spent much of her Thanksgiving holiday with her husband inside the facility. Sources said she carved time out of her day just to be with the “Father Stretch My Hands” rapper and would be sharing a meal with her two children and the rest of her family later. Neither of Kardashian, 36, and West’s children are thought to be aware of the situation.

“Kim is indeed with him and will be by his side for awhile today. She plans on going to eat with her family later and the kids. North and Saint [West] just think their dad is away now Kanye wants to get better, so that’s a big part in this healing process. Kim is overwhelmed but is doing the best she can,” a source said.

In the days prior to his hospitalization, West was the subject of several headlines for making controversial statements during shows. On Nov. 21, he canceled the remaining dates on the “Saint Pablo” tour without giving any warning or reason. During his final performance he spoke for several minutes before walking off stage without performing a single song. Sources told Entertainment Tonight that West’s behavior was a result of multiple factors, though there has been no confirmation from he or any members of his camp.

“It was a combination of a lot of issues: stress, anxiety, paranoia. He just broke,” the insider said. “There have been signs recently of him just overwhelmed. Kanye hasn’t been himself for a while.”

Since his hospitalization, several celebrities have rallied in support for West. K. Michelle took a stand against fans on the internet who are quick to attack artists. She shared a photo on Instagram of a hand made up of multiple skin tones stitched together, calling for followers to be less judgmental. K. Michelle wrote that she tries to apply this thinking to her own life, adding that she is “NOT perfect.” Additionally, the “Mindful” singer called those picking on celebrities for fun “sick”.
