Tom Brady might have played his final game with the New England Patriots. The defending Super Bowl champions were eliminated by the Tennessee Titans in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs, and the quarterback is no longer under contract.

For the first time in his 20-year career, Brady will be a free agent when the offseason begins. He wouldn’t commit to returning to New England when asked about his future in Saturday’s post-game press conference.

“I love the Patriots. I mean, they obviously – this is the greatest organization, and playing for Mr. [Robert] Kraft all these years and for coach [Bill] Belichick – there’s nobody that’s had a better career, I would say, than me, just being with them. So, I’m very blessed and I don’t know what the future looks like and I’m not going to predict it. So, I wish we would have won tonight and wish we would have done a lot of things better over the course of the season, but we just didn’t get the job done,” Brady told reporters.

Where will Brady play in 2020? The Patriots are considered to be the most likely option, but the latest betting odds peg a few other destinations as realistic possibilities.

BetOnline gives the Cleveland Browns the best chance to lure the six-time Super Bowl champ away from New England with 11/2 odds. Those odds are likely based on the idea that Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is the frontrunner to become Cleveland’s next head coach.

It’s hard to believe that the Browns would actually sign Brady to replace Baker Mayfield, who was drafted with the No.1 overall pick two years ago. If Brady leaves the Patriots, it would probably be for a team that can compete for a title with an upgrade at quarterback.

The Los Angeles Chargers could potentially fit that description, though they were certainly more than one player away from making the playoffs in 2019 with a 5-11 record. Philip Rivers threw 20 interceptions, and his days as a good starting quarterback might be done.

The defense wasn’t the issue in L.A. The Chargers ranked eighth in points allowed and scored 21 points or fewer in 10 of their losses.

Rumors and speculation have linked Brady to Los Angeles more than any other possible team. The Chargers have 6/1 odds to sign Brady.

The Las Vegas Raiders—2019 was the team’s last season in Oakland—and Carolina Panthers also have 6/1 odds in the Brady Sweepstakes. The Raiders have made one playoff appearance with Derek Carr as their starter for six years. Cam Newton has had each of his last two seasons in Carolina cut short by injuries.

The Dallas Cowboys (7/1) and Indianapolis Colts (8/1) are probably unrealistic options, despite their odds. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9/1) are an intriguing, though unlikely, possible destination for Brady.

New England is given 1/2 odds to have Brady as its quarterback in Week 1 of the 2020 season.

Brady threw for 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions during the regular season. His 88.0 passer rating was his worst rating in six years, playing with an underwhelming group of playmakers.
