W Magazine’s style director, Edward Enninful, will now be overseeing the editorial content for British Vogue. The major British fashion publication announced Monday that it had named Enninful its new editor-in-chief.

The news follows on the heels of the departure announcement from late British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman. Shulman announced in January that she would be leaving her post after editing the publication for 25 years, the Business of Fashion reported Monday.

Enninful, 45, will assume his new role at the beginning of August, according to a statement from Conde Nast International’s chairman and chief executive Jonathan Newhouse. “By virtue of his talent and experience, Edward Enninful is supremely prepared to assume the responsibility of British Vogue,” Newhouse said via The Guardian.
