Marvel revealed, during the San Diego Comic-Con 2019, that “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” was one of the movies that included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4. “The upcoming “Doctor Strange 2” film will star Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen, who played the character of Wanda Maximoff (also known as Scarlet Witch) in the earlier “Avengers” films.

Cumberbatch and Olsen both played the main roles in “Avengers: Endgame,” whose income surpassed that of “Avatar,” making it the highest-grossing film in the world, BBC News reported.

Cumberbatch’s first lead role in the MCU was “Doctor Strange” in 2016. Other than that, he also made several appearances in films like “Avengers: Infinity War” in 2018, “Star Trek Into Darkness” and “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” both of which hit the theaters in 2013.

In 2010, Cumberbatch played the role of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. The said British crime drama television series, which lasted up to 4 seasons, ended in January, 2017. In the same year, the 43-year-old actor appeared in “Thor: Ragnarok.”

Cumberbatch’s professional career in acting started in the year 2000. Currently, the “Doctor Strange” actor’s net worth is around $30 million dollars, Celebrity Net Worth reported.

Having a career in the Hollywood industry is not as easy as people think.
