Camilla Parker Bowles was scheduled to attend the Christmas church service with the royal family, but she decided to skip it at the last minute.

Prince Charles was photographed arriving at St. Mary Magdalene by himself, and he was also seen walking ahead of his sons and daughters in law. Camilla wasn’t there possibly because she was sick.

The Duchess of Cornwall also missed out on the royal family’s Christmas lunch at the Buckingham Palace last year because she had a cold. It is possible that the mom of two has still not fully recovered from her illness.

But despite her absence from the two royal events, it is believed that Camilla is still in Sandringham with all the members of the royal family for the holidays. However, she just didn’t make a public appearance this week.

In related news, Camilla also made headlines recently after it was revealed that she used to make outrageous demands that Prince Charles hated. Writer Brian Hoey wrote in his book “Not In Front of the Corgis” that the future queen consort gave her footmen strict instructions when it comes to her and Prince Charles’ home.

More specifically, Camilla asked her footmen to place silver cigarette boxes of her favorite brand in every room in her house. And the footmen also had to make sure that the holders are placed upright near at hand with one match half withdrawn so she doesn’t have to scrabble about looking for it.

Additionally, Camilla’s footmen were also tasked to tidy up after the duchess. “The moment she leaves the room – even if just for a few minutes – a footman makes sure the ashtrays are emptied, ready for her return,” he said.

Every week, Camilla’s budget for her cigarettes were estimated at $127, and Prince Charles wasn’t very happy about this. But despite Camilla’s obsession with smoking, she wasn’t allowed to light a cigarette inside Buckingham Palace because there is a strict no smoking policy in place at the royal residence.

Prince Charles doesn’t smoke, and he has persuaded Camilla to stop the habit throughout the past couple of years.
