Kate Middleton and Prince William are attending separate royal duties this week.

According to New Idea, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are splitting up this week and their setup raised questions. The report was referring to the couple’s separate engagements.

Middleton will be accompanying Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles at the NATO summit. The British royal family will be reuniting with Melania and Donald Trump for the event.

Meanwhile, Prince William couldn’t make it to the event and join his wife and the other members of the royal family because he is in an official tour to Kuwait. Some find it odd why Middleton did not join her husband when they usually travel together.

In October, the future king and queen visited Pakistan. They impressed many at how they carried the most complex royal tour to date.

According to the publication, Middleton did not join Prince William’s royal tour because it was intended to be a solo trip. It was the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

“The Duke of Cambridge will visit Kuwait and Oman between Sunday 1st December and Wednesday 4th December. This visit is at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and will be His Royal Highness’s first official visit to both countries,” the official statement from Kensington Palace read.

During Prince William’s visit, he will pay tribute to the historic ties Britain shares with Kuwait and Oman. He will also learn more about the organizations working to educate and empower young people and projects which provide opportunities to help them develop important life skills.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Middleton was stunning in her green Emilia Wickstead dress when she attended the NATO reception at Buckingham Palace. The Duchess of Cambridge was in high spirits as she welcomed the NATO leaders for dinner even if her husband was not around.
