Meghan Markle has been carrying out her royal duties alongside Prince Harry with a smile on her face. However, sources close to the pregnant Duchess of Sussex revealed she feels stressed about the speculation surrounding her rumored feud with Kate Middleton and other negative reports.

Meghan officially joined the royal family in May 2018, but since the royal wedding, the 37-year-old has been at the center of negative rumors.

A source told Us Weekly Markle is “definitely bothered by all the reports and speculation” and is having difficulty ignoring the negative press.

“Meghan has so much on her plate, between being pregnant and dealing with the public backlash, and she’s finding the whole situation incredibly stressful,” a royal insider explained.

The stress also appears to be weighing on her husband, who feels guilty about everything that has been happening to his wife. “Harry feels responsible for Meghan being so miserable,” the source said.

Along with her rumored rift with the Duchess of Cambridge, the “Suits” actress was also bothered by an article published by Vanity Fair that portrayed her as a social climber.

News of Meghan’s difficulty handling the negative press comes after reports Prince Harry has been “frustrated” about not being able to protect his wife from the downfalls of being a member of the royal family.

“Keeping her away from the negativity and harm has been hard for him. It’s been his purpose in their relationship to keep her away from the negativity,” a source previously told Us Weekly.

Meghan and Harry are expected to welcome their first child together in the spring of 2019.
