Meghan Markle reportedly renewed the trademark for her defunct lifestyle blog The Tig.

According to The Sun’s executive editor Dan Wooton, it seems that the Duchess of Sussex renewed The Tig’s trademark because she will soon be relaunching the website.

Markle’s business manager, Andrew Meyer, was the one who filed the documents in the United States under the company Frim Fram. The filing gave Markle the rights to the website until 2021.

Last week, the publication claimed that Prince Harry’s wife told her advisers that she wants to break the Internet. And by the looks of it, relaunching the lifestyle blog is one way to do this.

“It’s fascinating Meghan’s business manager has ensured she keeps The Tig for a few more years at least. Of course, it’s understandable she wouldn’t want an entrepreneur using the name without her involvement… But given her desire to be a different type of royal — pushing her own causes using digital and social media — it’s not out of the question she’d think The Tig could play an important role,” a source said.

Two years ago, Markle announced that she will no longer be using The Tig after she got engaged to Prince Harry. This is because members of the royal family are not allowed to have personal blogs or accounts.

But since Markle will never become a Queen, and she and Prince Harry are working independently and away from Prince William and Kate Middleton, it is possible that Queen Elizabeth may have granted her desire to continue posting on The Tig.

However, since there is no confirmation yet from the palace, it is best not to believe the claim in its entirety. Once everything is finalized, royal fans would know if Markle’s lifestyle blog will be up and running once again.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle have also been breaking the internet by uploading monochrome photos instead of colored ones. The break from Prince William and Middleton’s style suggests that there is still an ongoing war between the couples.
