Ariana Grande's ex-fiancé, Pete Davidson, has come to Mac Miller's defense. The "Saturday Night Live" star recently kicked out an audience member during one of his shows after the latter made a tasteless quip about the late rapper.

On Monday, Feb. 25, Davidson, 25, was performing a stand-up comedy show in South Orange, New Jersey, when someone from the audience made a nasty joke at Miller's expense. The comedian had been in the middle of making a joke, saying, “So a funny thing happened to me recently in my apartment. My friend died of a heart attack.”

In this recording obtained by TMZ, Davidson immediately paused his act when a heckler shouted, "Mac Miller!"

One eyewitness told Page Six that Davidson was not having it and immediately had that audience member escorted out of the venue. “Pete calmly stops his routine and asks the audience to ID the dude that yelled out and that he is going to have to leave,” the source said. “He then asks security to locate the yeller and escort him out.”

Davidson then clarified to the remaining showgoers that he didn't welcome that kind of talk in his presence. “I’m not going to have any of that s—t happening at my show,” he said.

Miller dated Grande for two years from May 2016 to May 2018. He died at the age of 26 of drug overdose just four months after they broke up in September 2018. At the time, Grande had already started seeing Davidson and was devastated after learning that he passed away.

Grande had gotten engaged with Davidson in June that year, but her heartbreak over Miller's death reportedly caused tension in their relationship. They broke up in October, just a month after the rapper died.

A source previously told Us Weekly that Davidson had been a pillar of support for Grande after Miller's death and had been "100 percent there" for her. However, his passing still “put a tremendous amount of strain on their relationship.”

"[Pete’s] really sad about the split and he only wishes the best for Ariana, but their relationship was really complicated with the passing of Mac Miller," the source added.

Davidson has since moved on from the "7 Rings" singer and is currently in a relationship with Kate Beckinsale.
