Ariana Grande skipped this year’s Grammys, but she did celebrate her first ever award from the annual ceremony at home. She singer shared a few pictures and a video of herself on social media, showing a custom-made Zac Posen dress that she was supposed to wear for the event.

Grande wasn’t at the Grammys, but she did win the award for best pop vocal album. “Sweetner,” which she said is one of her favorite albums, got her the very first Grammy Award of her life. The singer shared a photo of herself in the Zac Posen gown on Instagram while celebrating the win.

Aside from a few shots of herself in the new dress, Grande also shared a video on Instagram that showed how excited her dog was about her new gown. The video featured the pet “surfing” on the train of the dress across the house.

The official Grammy Awards Twitter page also sent out a congratulatory message to Grande for the win. The singer thanked the fans after she received the recognition, and in a message on Twitter, she also added that she is “super grateful” for the win.

Although Grande didn’t go to the 2019 Grammys ceremony, she appeared to have watched it live at her manager Scooter Braun’s house. A video Braun shared on Twitter showed the singer’s first reaction to her win.

While Grande is happy about her first Grammys win, she isn’t too pleased about her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller losing out on a posthumous award. Miller passed away due to drug overdose in September last year.

According to E! News, Grande was live-tweeting her reactions while watching the Grammys. She reportedly tweeted a few angry messages after learning that Cardi B got the best rap album award instead of Miller, but she then quickly deleted these messages.

For the fans who thought that Grande was shading Cardi B, she later clarified that her comments had nothing to do with the female rapper and added that the win was good for the latter. In another deleted tweet, Grande mentioned how Miller’s family was invited to the event.
