“The Boys,” one of Amazon’s most ambitious original shows yet, is now available to stream on Prime Video. Adapted from the Dynamite comic series written by Garth Ennis, the series follows Karl Urban as the leader of a vigilante group dedicated to taking out superheroes who have been corrupted by their power and celebrity status. The show is among the biggest productions Amazon Studios has mounted, so many who binge the subversive series this weekend might be wondering if more seasons are on the way.

Luckily for any newly-minted fans of “The Boys,” Amazon greenlit a second season just last week, confirming the news at the show’s debut San Diego Comic-Con panel. The show’s official Twitter account celebrated the premiere of Season 1 with a special behind-the-scenes picture.

As of Friday, filming on “The Boys” Season 2 is officially underway. Little is known about the story of this new batch of episodes, however, news of the show’s renewal did bring a juicy new casting update.

According to Deadline, “You’re the Worst” star Aya Cash has been cast in the second season as the villainous Stormfront. A reincarnated Viking spirit, Stormfront is portrayed in the comics as a virulent racist and active supporter of Nazi political ideologies. In the books, the character is a member of the team Payback alongside characters like Tek Knight and Soldier Boy. With the appearance of a character like Stormfront, fans certainly don’t need to worry about the show toning down its brash sensibilities any time soon.

“The Boys” Season 1 is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
