There’s nothing merry about this holiday news. According to reports, the Kardashian-Jenner family won’t be sending out their annual, always-over-the-top Christmas card for the 2014 season. Why? No, it has nothing to do with Bruce’s alleged cross-dressing or other family issues! The reason behind this year’s very Kardashian-less Kristmas is simply terrible time management.

When asked by Glamour UK what the reality-TV clan had prepared for this year’s holiday photo, Kim said, “I think what we're going to do this year is -- we're a little confused this year because we ran out of time.”

Well, we can’t say we’re surprised. This isn’t the first time the Kardashians have missed their Christmas card deadline. In 2012 the E! stars were forced to take a New Year's-themed photo after they waited too long to snap a Christmas one. But they made up for the holiday card debacle by featuring Kim’s late kitten, Mercy, in the photo. Yes, you read that right: Kim’s dead cat (which died mysteriously of cancer) was placed in a box, which held four glasses of champagne. Talk about a memorable way to ring in the new year.

But all kittens aside -- it was the Kardashians' 2013 Christmas card, taken by renowned photographer David LaChappelle, that really took our breath away. The intricate and flashy photo featured Kim, Khloé Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Bruce Jenner, and Kourtney’s children, Mason and Penelope.

However, glitz and glamour comes at a price. According to the Daily Mail, the famous shutterbug originally wanted only the female members of the family to appear in the 2013 Christmas card -- but Bruce put his foot down. "It's not the girls' Christmas card, it's our family Christmas card. We've done it for 23 years and they want to change it? It's your mom's and my Christmas card,” he reportedly said. Bruce can be seen locked away in a glass tube to the far right of the photo. But after Bruce laid down the law, Rob Kardashian, Kanye West, Scott Disick, Lamar Odom and little North West still opted out of the 2013 photo.

So, will the Kardashian-Jenner family take a New Year's photo seeing that a Kristmas kard image is out of the picture? Kim revealed the answer, explaining how the famous clan planned to document the holiday season.

“What we're going to do is, at our Christmas party we have this amazing photo booth, so we're going to do like a compilation and do a New Year's card. So we're all going to get together at the beginning of the party and make sure that we all get photos together and do this whole thing," she explained.

Phew! Looks like it will be a jolly, Kardashian-filled holiday season after all!
