The first trailer of “Wonder Woman 1984” has been released online, and the fans are excited about the next adventure of the powerful superhero. However, Gal Gadot’s character preferred to use her golden Lasso of Truth as her primary weapon in the video, rather than the sword and the shield that she previously used.

Just as in the trailer, Gadot’s character will not be using her sword and shield in the film in order to take on the bad guys. Speaking at the CCXP, the actress explained the missing weapons of her character by saying that the superhero has become so powerful that she doesn’t need such weapons any more.

A video of Gadot’s comments posted on CinePOP YouTube channel shows her saying that her character is a goddess who is so strong that she doesn’t need her sword and shield. Another reason for the change, according to the actress, is that a sword is a very aggressive weapon that she and the others felt was not necessary, and they also got rid of the shield because it was unnecessary. In a fight, the superhero can rely on her skills and she also has her lasso.

Although Gadot’s character doesn’t have her shield in “Wonder Woman 1984,” she has her new Golden Eagle armor. According to CBR, the armor may be used against the claws of the villain Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) or the weapons used by Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal). The armor may be featured in the final battle against the villains.

Maxwell Lord is a character from the comic books who is being introduced for the first time in the upcoming film. According to IGN, the villain is an ambitious and successful businessman who believes that he is protecting the world from superheroes.

“Wonder Woman 1984” will be released on June 5, 2020.
