Jennifer Lopez recently announced that the filming for “World of Dance” Season 1 has already started.

On her Instagram account, the singer-actress shared a photo of herself being glammed up for their first production day. Lopez’s hair is tied up in a bun, and she’s wearing a red backless dress in the snap. The “All I Have” singer also expressed her excitement not only over the filming, but also over working with fellow artist Neyo and “Dancing With the Stars” pro Derek Hough.

Even though “World of Dance” Season 1 won’t premiere until this spring on NBC, the dance reality TV competition is already stirring some buzz in the United States.

The show’s official site revealed that only the best contestant will get the chance to bring home $1 million. Dancers of all styles and genres may audition for “World of Dance” Season 1 as long as they are 8 years old and older. Juniors are solo performers or groups made up of a maximum of 20 people between the ages of 8 and 16. Uppers are solo dancers or groups made up of a maximum of four members and are aged 17 and above. Teams may be composed of five to 20 people aged 17 and older.

Meanwhile, Jenna Dewan-Tatum was recently tapped to host “World of Dance” Season 1 for a total of 10 episodes. According to Variety, Lopez’s show isn’t the only one that Dewan-Tatum will be a part of on NBC. The actress-dancer will also serve as judge and mentor on a yet-to-be-titled show that hails from her husband, Channing Tatum.

Meredith Ahr, president of Universal Television Alternative Studio and NBC Entertainment, told the publication that they strongly believe in Dewan-Tatum. This is why they believe that she is the perfect choice to host “World of Dance” and work with Lopez, Neyo and Hough.
