Newly crowned WWE heavyweight champion Kofi Kingston is now obviously on the next level although most feel that it could come at a price. Some are wondering what lies ahead for New Day and there is a growing belief that the trio may be going separate ways.

As far as the WWE heavyweight champion is concerned, New Day will stick together. Apparently, the Dreadlocked Dynamo made this clear in an interview with TMZ Sports who added that the philosophy of the many-time WWE tag team champions is to lift your brother up.

Kingston has been around the WWE long enough to know that factions normally split up when a member rises. But he assures that this will not happen to their group.

“The New Day is all about the group, that’s how it’s going to be,” Kingston said.

Hence, The New Day may still be out to reclaim the WWE tag team titles The Hardy Boyz are the current champions and the competition has been ramping up the past weeks. The Usos are up there and so is The Bar.

The New Day can always crowd the party although they are one man down. Big E is down with an injured meniscus, something he sustained recently. According to eWrestling.com, he has yet to be cleared for any in-ring activity.

Looking ahead, it looks like it will be Kingston and Xavier Woods showing up during WWE shows for now. Woods could end up simply assisting his partner during matches unless both end up making a run for the tag team titles yet again.

It remains to be seen if the New Day will stick together for long. If they do, it would be a rare case. Regardless, Kingston’s statements support the ones made by Woods when he visited the Philippines last year. He was asked the same question and also explained why it makes no sense to break the triumvirate up.

“Why would we break up? One, on some real stuff, we have the most fun ever. So if we were to break up, we would have less fun, worst chances of becoming singles champions because we won’t have our two friends helping out. And even if we were to become singles champion, it would not be as enjoyable because we would not be able to share with our friends,” said Woods in an interview with Manila Bulletin Sports.
