WWE is reportedly planning a blockbuster fight for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39.

In what would be one of the biggest matches scheduled to take place at Next Year's WrestleMania in Los Angeles, Lesnar could take on SmackDown star Gunther, reported WrestlingNews.co. Gunther has asked WWE for the match as he believes taking on Lesnar would be the biggest possible challenge for him.

Gunther, the former Intercontinental Champion, said last month that a fight against Lesnar would be his "dream match."

"If I had to pin it down to one name, I'd say it's Brock Lesnar at the moment. When I was young and watching WWE, I enjoyed watching his matches. Later on when I progressed in my career, I was able to watch wrestling and analyze how people work. He's always been somebody I was impressed with. He's one of the best to ever do it. I think that's the biggest possible challenge for me at the moment," Gunther told Illinois' WMBD TV.

Even though WrestleMania 39 is still months away and there is always a possibility of a change in the company's plans, Triple H, the chief content officer for WWE, has reportedly finalized the big fights at the 39th edition of the "Show of the Shows." Under the new chief, WWE will not make drastic changes unless there is an injury issue.

Lesnar was last seen in action at Crown Jewel, where he faced off against Bobby Lashley in a singles bout. While the former WWE champion triumphed in the fight, he was attacked by the All Mighty after the bell. Since then, the Beast Incarnate has not made an appearance on WWE TV.

It was earlier reported Lesnar could take on Lashley again at Royal Rumble, which is scheduled to take place on Jan. 28 in Texas.

Lesnar lost the WWE title earlier this year to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38. With that, Reigns became the Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion. There are rumors about the Tribal Chief having a dream fight against The Rock, who is also his cousin, at WrestleMania 39 next year. However, there is still no clarity on it.
