Karin Konoval is returning to “The X-Files.”

Series creator Chris Carter told Entertainment Weekly that Konoval will guest star in an episode of the upcoming 11th Season of the Fox series.

Konoval first appeared on the series in 1996. In Season 4, episode 2, titled “Home,” Konoval played the role of Mrs. Peacock, a mother of three who lost her arms and legs following a terrible car accident with her husband. Her sons brought her home and treated her injuries. However, they kept her on a sled under a bed, feeding her regurgitated food. In an effort to keep the Peacock family alive by reproducing more children in the family, Mrs. Peacock offered herself to her sons for incestuous sexual intercourse.

Although “Home” is considered by many as one of the show’s finest hours, Konoval is not returning for Season 11 to play Mrs. Peacock once again.

“While Karen Konoval won’t be reprising her role as the mother-under-the-bed in the fan-favorite episode ‘Home,’ she will be returning in a tour-de-force performance in an early episode. Or, more accurately — performances,” Carter said.

Aside from her memorable performance in the original run of “The X-Files,” Konoval is also known for her role as Maurice the Orangutan in Rise of the “Planet of the Apes,” “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” and “War for the Planet of the Apes.” She recently recurred on Freeform’s “Beyond” and Fox’s “Exorcist.”

News of Konoval’s return comes two days after Fox insiders confirmed to Deadline that Brian Huskey will guest star as the character of Reggie. The confirmation was made shortly after series star Gillian Anderson tweeted out a behind-the-scenes photo of her with co-star David Duchovny, writer/director Darin Morgan and Huskey on the set of the upcoming series.

Huskey, who currently stars on TBS’ “People of Earth,” is best known for his roles as Chet on the Adult Swim comedy “Childrens Hospital,” and as Victor on Comedy Central’s “Another Period.”

In addition to Konoval and Huskey’s roles, “The X-Files” Season 11 will also introduce the character of Erika Price, played “Damien” star Barbara Hershey.

“The X-Files” Season 11, which sees the return of Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson), among many others, will premiere midseason on Fox.
