‘Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon’ Episode 1 Live Stream Details, Spoilers: The Twin Sisters

The "Inuyasha" spinoff anime is set to introduce the twin daughters of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. "Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon" Episode 1 will see twins Setsuna and Towa as they prepare for a transcendental journey.

After the conclusion of the much-loved "Inuyasha" anime series, "Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon" brings back the action with new characters.

After a forest fire separates twin sisters Towa and Setsuna, the former desperately looks for her younger sibling. However, Towa’s search mission leads her to a tunnel. It is said that a demon named Root Head, who was killed by Inuyasha and his friends, created the tunnel.

Root Head gained the powers of the Tree of Ages, making a passage from the Feudal Era to the present day. Towa was sucked in the passage and thrown into the present day.

Ten years have passed since the Higurashi family adopted Towa. Meanwhile, Towa’s sister, Setsuna, turns out to be a demon slayer. Now, fate is in the hands of this next generation as they set out to explore and slay evil demons and villains.

“Set in feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family. Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a demon slayer working for Kohaku,” reads the official series synopsis, Crunchyroll posted.

The synopsis also states that Setsuna has no memories of her sister. Setsuna joins Moroha and Setsuna and the three young women will travel between two timelines to find answers.

The cast of the anime series includes Mikako Komatsu as Setsuna, Azusa Tadokoro as Moroha, Sara Matsumoto as Towa Higurashi, Takehiro Urao as Hisui, Ai Fairouz as Takechiyo and Ryohei Kimura as Kohaku.

"Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon" Episode 1 is scheduled to broadcast Saturday. Fans can watch the episode online via live streaming on AnimeLab, Crunchyroll, Funimation and Hulu.
