Her claims she was sexually harassed while working at Brash and Sassy are now heading to court, and in a misguided attempt to get her to drop the case, Cane will confront Juliet about her claims on the Thursday, June 15 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

After being fired over the hockey league incident, Juliet (Laur Allen), under encouragement from Hilary (Mishael Morgan), filed a lawsuit against Brash and Sassy for sexual harassment, naming Cane (Daniel Goddard) as the one who coerced her into sex on the CBS soap. In reality, while the two did allegedly hook-up while drunk in Tokyo, it was presumably consensual sex, and Cane did not ask for a repeat before getting her the job at the company. The attempt to get the suit thrown out failed, and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) refused to settle and pay Juliet off, meaning the claims would now head to court.

However, Cane is desperate to keep the truth of his hook-up from his wife, Lily (Christel Khalil), because he knows the infidelity, and the fact that he’s kept it from her for so long, could ruin their marriage. Knowing Hilary is the one who is really behind the lawsuit, and that her motive for doing so is to rip his family apart, Cane has now gone to see Juliet to ask her to drop the case.

However, when he goes to see her, he will be stunned when she admits she knows he didn’t actually harass her, though she is upset he didn’t defend her and try to keep her from being fired for something she didn’t do. And when he brings up the fact that her claims could threaten his marriage, she will surprise him by saying she plans to tell the truth in court, though she doesn’t think he could handle doing it.

“I’ll tell the truth about what happened between us. Will you?” She asks in a preview clip.

However, Cane will continue to beg her not to make things worse for him and ask her to drop the suit. She may temporarily agree, but a meeting later on with her lawyer will change that, and Cane’s visit to her could prove to be the most costly mistake he’s made yet since news of the suit broke.

Meanwhile, Victoria is preparing Lily for the drama that is to come as the case proceeds, warning her that even if Cane is innocent, things will be said that will be disheartening, and she will need to stay strong as the case drags on and gets particularly ugly.

“We’re heading to trial, and fair warning, things could get really ugly, and fast,” Victoria says.

Still, despite the advanced warning, Lily will still be worried about what the case could mean, not only for her, but for Cane and their kids. Not only could a revelation that something did happen between him and Juliet destroy their family, but it could also hurt his career, and life will never be the same for any of them as a result.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
