He left Genoa City so he could find her and they could run off and have a life together where no one would look for them. But Kevin’s plans to get Chloe could run into some big problems after he arrives at Dr. Harris’ home on the Monday, June 12 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

After Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) funeral, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) announced to his loved ones on the CBS soap that he was leaving Genoa City behind because he couldn’t bear to stick around while knowing she was dead. No one questioned him on his need to get away for a while and they let him leave. What none of them knew however was that Kevin had learned at the funeral that Chloe was alive and faking her death with Victor’s (Eric Braden) help, so Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) would be forced to call off their search for her as they sought answers for Adam’s death. His real plans involved finding Chloe once he got out of town, and the two would then run off together to live without interference from anyone else.

Now though, Kevin may be learning the true dangers behind his plan after he arrives in Louisiana, where Chloe was taken after the false funeral so she could return to Dr. Harris’ home. As he watches them in a preview clip, he will realize he needs to play things the exact right way, or he and Chloe may not escape at all.

He will come up with a successful diversion to get Harris to leave Chloe for a few minutes, and will show her he’s there, but won’t act quickly enough to sneak her out before Harris returns. Chloe will admit she asked Kevin to come because she wants a life with him, but Harris will likely prepare to sell the pair out by making sure Victor learns about the unexpected surprise at his doorstep.

Meanwhile, back in Genoa City, Victor is not only focusing on making sure Chloe remains dead in everyone’s minds, so he is safe from being exposed further as her accomplice before Adam’s death, but also several different ventures for Newman Enterprises. Not only is he looking into ways to help Abby (Melissa Ordway) with her startup, he is also trying to find Scott (Daniel Hall) something to do that keeps him in the company as well. Now, after giving him his own project, Victor will test his loyalty by reminding him that the job is one that requires a large amount of work and dedication.

“This will be a challenge, I promise you,” Victor says in the clip.

“I won’t let you down,” Scott replies.

However, Abby will be trying to find a way to make sure Victor doesn’t learn about her secret partner with her startup. She will go to Jack (Peter Bergmann) and beg him to bow out of her project, because if she continues working with him on it, then she will become a pariah with Victor again, and she desperately doesn’t want that to happen.

“If my dad finds out you’re involved in this project, he’s going to go ballistic,” she says.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
