‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Hilary Considers Telling Lily About Cane’s Affair

She has always wanted to get revenge on her former sister-in-law because of their contentious relationship. Now, Hilary will consider turning over the proof she has that Lily’s husband Cane cheated on her on the Thursday, May 25 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Lily (Christel Khalil) have always had a pretty tense relationship on the CBS soap, mainly over how Hilary generally manipulated both Lily’s brother, Devon (Bryton James) and her father, Neil (Kristoffer St. John), during her respective marriages to both. Despite Hilary now no longer be married to either man and not a part of the family any longer, the tension hasn’t simmered at all between the two women. Hilary wants revenge for all of the wrong she feels Lily has done her over the years, and may now consider getting it based on information she has that could destroy Lily’s life.

Hilary happened to overhear a conversation between Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Juliet (Laur Allen), where they discussed their one-night stand while drunk in Tokyo. She then went and confronted Juliet about it, and got the other woman to confess. What Juliet didn’t know however, is that Hilary was secretly recording the confession, and now, she is listening on her flash drive, considering whether or not she will use it to cause damage.

Though she has no idea she was recorded confessing, Juliet will decide to warn Cane that Hilary is on to them, which will cause him to panic that his wife may realize he cheated on her.

“Hilary knows about our one-night stand,” Juliet says in a preview clip.

Cane will be very worried aboiut Hilary knowing the truth because he knows she’ll do anything to destroy his wife. Juliet will be convinced that her warning Hilary not to go public with the information since she has no proof, and could be sued for making the story up as such will be enough, but Cane will know better. Sure enough, when he arrives back home later that day, he will learn from Lily that Hilary dropped off a flash drive containing her interview, and that the flash drive in question was initially from Mariah (Camryn Grimes). However, suspicious, Cane will suggest they not pay any attention to the device now, and he will do his best to try and distract Lily from thinking about it, so he can eventually try and swipe it for himself and figure out if Hilary was planning to expose him.

What Cane isn’t aware of is that his suspicions are most likely right, and Hilary does want to expose him, solely because it will finally give her the chance to get revenge on Lily. But, the flash drive may actually be the innocent one that contains the interview, because Hilary may have bigger plans for the truth than simply sharing it with Lily.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
