The reveal that Jack tried to make a document giving her the rights to all the products she developed for Jabot has only added to the massive feud within the Abbott family. Now, with Ashley holding all the cards for Jabot’s future, she will make a decision on the Friday, Oct. 26 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Jack’s (Peter Bergman) epic battle for control over Jabot reached a boiling point in recent weeks, as plots by each of the siblings were exposed on the CBS soap. Ashley was quickly removed as CEO when her scheme to make Jack think he was not a true blood Abbott was exposed, but Jack’s own conniving behavior was brought to light as well. Traci (Beth Maitland) forced him to reveal that he shredded the contract Dina (Marla Adams) had drawn up which gave Ashley creative control over all of the products and patents she had secured for the company.

Jack has sworn that he shredded the document because if Ashley chose to leave the company and take the patents with her, it would bankrupt the family and end the company their father built. However, the paperwork, which has since been restored, is legally sound, and Ashley now has the power—and wants to be made CEO once again.

“Ashley makes an unexpected announcement” Y&R spoilers reveal.

It seems unlikely that Jack would willingly let his sister take control of the company entirely once again based on the things she did to him, so he will likely make a counteroffer to convince her to go back to a job as COO or heading up the research departments. Naturally, she’ll refuse, and when it becomes clear she isn’t getting what she wants, she’ll make her decision.

Fans know that Davidson is leaving the show, and her final episode is set to air on Oct. 29, so it seems likely the decision she makes will be the one which devastates her family—as she opts to instead take the patents that are rightfully hers and leave the company, her family and Genoa City behind.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
