They’ve all had some time to try and start and moving on with their lives without him, but Neil’s love and presence will be felt once again on “The Young and the Restless,” as his loved ones gather for the reading of his will on the Wednesday, May 29 episode.

Since Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) death on the CBS soap, life hasn’t really been the same for those he left behind, and losing him has been especially tough on his son, Devon (Bryton James), who had just been getting over his wife, Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) own death when he discovered his father’s body. Because it’s been difficult for him to process so much loss, he has delayed the reading of his father’s will. However, the day has finally arrived for those in Genoa City that Neil was closest with to find out what he wanted them to have when he died.

“Devon brings together Neil’s family and friends for the reading of his will,” spoilers reveal.

Naturally, there will be some things in the Will that are to be expected, like money to both Devon and Lily (Christel Khalil), as well as her children, and he will also likely have something set up that makes Devon fully in charge of Hamilton-Winters. In addition, he will likely leave Jack (Peter Bergman) a touching gift to use for the Foundation they had started together to help others who struggled with addiction.

However, they won’t be the only ones gathered for the moment, and while many members of the extended family won’t be there, some of Neil’s other friends from Genoa City will be. Victor (Eric Braden), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Sharon (Sharon Case) will certainly not be overlooked, and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is also back in town because he left her something.

No matter what he leaves them all, however, it will likely be the closure they all need in order to successfully begin to move on with their lives, and in ways that they can hope will make Neil proud.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
