He’s been making enemies ever since he came back to town and hasn’t wasted any time scheming against everyone to try and make his own goals work. However, as Adam continues trying to turn up the heat against people like Nick, others will start putting plans in gear to try and stop him dead in his tracks on the Wednesday, July 17 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Adam’s (Marc Grossman) attempts to go after both Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) in an effort to get custody of his sons, Christian and Connor, has led to a lot of drama in Genoa City, and it has also made him a lot of enemies as well on the CBS soap. In addition, his blackmailing Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and being indirectly responsible for Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) kidnapping hasn’t helped either. Still, he has been working as hard as he can to get what he wants—but his enemies are also at work.

“Michael (Christian Leblanc) and Kevin plot against Adam,” spoilers reveal.

Kevin has been looking for a way to get out from Adam’s thumb so he can leave town again and get back to Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Bella but hasn’t had much luck yet. Now, he may finally have a way to not only get revenge on Adam but keep him from retaliating as well—even though he may need to accept his brother’s help, something he didn’t want to do.

However, Kevin isn’t going to be the only one who is trying to take Adam down, and though everyone felt Phyllis was allied with him since she took the vacant CEO job at Dark Horse, she may reveal that her loyalties actually lie elsewhere—even if she’s only looking out for herself.

“Phyllis ensures her tracks are covered,” spoilers state.

However, if even Phyllis, who Adam felt was comfortably on his side, is turning against him, Adam will have no real allies left, and it could mean that as his battle with Nick at least heads to court, he could be facing down something he actually can’t win.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
