He has been eager to get his son to remember the life he had in Genoa City, but Victor may take things too far as he tries to force Adam’s memories to return on the Thursday, May 16 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

On Sharon’s (Sharon Case) insistence, Adam (Mark Grossman) agreed to come back to Genoa City and try seeing everyone there for one week to see if it jogged his memory, on the promise he could go back to Vegas afterward if it didn’t work. Since then on the CBS soap, he has reunited with his brother, Nick (Joshua Morrow), though it didn’t seem to do much for him. Now, Victor (Eric Braden) may take action that forces Adam to see his sister, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), but it will also be something that could be too much of a push.

“Victor takes matters into his own hands,” spoilers reveal.

One of the biggest things that defined Adam’s life in Genoa City had been the fact that he killed Billy (Jason Thompson) and Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) daughter, Delia, in a hit-and-run accident—and that very act was the thing that got him presumed dead after Chloe cut the gas line and caused the cabin explosion. Now, since Victor is fond of leaving him photos as clues, he may stumble across one of Delia, and Victoria and Billy will be the ones to give him the answers.

Naturally, learning that he killed someone else’s daughter will be jarring for him and could shake him, and he will try to apologize to Billy for the pain he has caused. However, as they all discuss the incident, Adam will also be warned by the two that Victor is likely trying to force his memories back because he wants something out of him—and Adam will agree.

Now, with the bad memory of killing an innocent child stuck in his head, Adam could decide Victor has gone too far—and the attempts to get him back to Genoa City for good and into his former life could have all been for nothing as a result.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
