Logan Paul and Mike Majlak criticized the “dark humor” of TikTok and called the app “the most toxic platform” on their “Impaulsive” podcast.

While discussing TikTok on the Tuesday episode of "Impaulsive," Majlak said the platform is far from perfect and promotes damaging behavior. He highlighted some of the app's creators' take on dark humor, which he described as very different from the way it is handled in Sacha Baron Cohen's "Borat 2."

“You didn’t put a storyline together, you didn’t create something, some beautiful piece of art,” Majlak said of dark humor videos on TikTok.

The YouTube personality also slammed the TikTokers who use the excuse of their viewers being “too sensitive” when they get upset by their dark humor. Majlak believes that many of these types of creators use dark humor as an excuse to be nasty to people.

“There’s a lot of people on TikTok who think being mean quickly is dark humor. It’s not. That’s called being mean, being ruthless, and being disgusting. There’s a huge difference between the craft and the art of creating dark humor and just being a f-----g asshole,” Majlak said.

Paul was equally critical of the platform and said that while some would disagree with them, there is another group that detests the type of content shown in “Borat 2.”

Talking about why people say nasty things to others and term it as dark humor, Paul said, “When kids or anyone see it in 'Borat 2,' it’s funny for them. He does it in a way that it has comedy routed in the intent of the joke.”

“I believe TikTok to be the most, hands down, the most toxic platform that exists currently in the landscape today. It is absolutely f-----g disgusting dude. I think it just creates a lazy path for people to say really mean s--t,” he added.

Paul, who now has more than 22 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, commands a huge fan base since he began uploading content in 2013 on Vine and YouTube. His podcast "Impaulsive," which debuted in 2018, currently boasts 2.6 million subscribers.

TikTok is today one of the most downloaded apps around the world, with creators like Charli D’Amelio surpassing YouTubers in popularity with nearly 100 million TikTok followers.
