Acer and ASUS have confirmed their respective Tegra 2-powered, 10.1-inch Android tablets will be receiving the Android 3.1 update in June, reports said.

The 3.1 update will provide the opportunity to stretch widgets, an improvised performance and will support USB peripherals. The users will be receiving the updates via internet starting next month.

Google at their I/O conference recently announced the first update of their optimized version of Android, called Honeycomb or Android 3.1, which will have new features but mostly consist of small tweaks. The features will also include transferring images from memory cards or cameras via the USB host mode.

The widgets will be resizable and games can be run on the tablet with Honeycomb 3.1 using an Xbox 360 controller.
