Well, that didn't last long.

After being released on Wednesday, sources say linebacker A.J. Hawk and the Green Bay Packers have agreed to a five-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hawk was supposed to earn $10 million for the 2011 season, but was released in an effort to bring him back at reduced salary.

The sixth-year player from Ohio State led the team in tackles en route to winning Super Bowl XL.
