Alec Baldwin was booted from an American Airlines flight on Tuesday when he refused to turn off a word game on his cell phone, joining a long list of celebrities who have been kicked off planes.

Baldwin's spokesperson told People Magazine that the actor had been playing a game called Words with Friends, and refused to switch it off when the plane started to depart from the gate. He was then escorted back to the terminal.

Another flight member tweeted that the plane had in fact left the gate and Baldwin's removed caused a lengthy wait for other passengers on board the plane.
