It may only be August, but “American Horror Story” is delivering some early scares. The FX mini-series has released its second teaser video for “Coven” and it is just as chilling as the first.

The second video is called “Pins And Needles” and was released on co-creator Ryan Murphy’s Twitter. “Because ‘pinning’ on the internet is all the rage …” the caption of the video teases.

The 23 second video features a piano playing while the camera slowly sweeps up a girl who is sitting on her knees … and has three large pins sticking out of her. One pin is through her left leg, another through her right upper arm, and the third is piercing her torso. Wearing black shorts, a black bandeau top and with her hair wrapped up, the pinned woman looks at the camera and quickly drops on all fours to approach it.

Season three, “Coven,” is set to pit Salem witches against Voodoo witches. “Pins And Needles” appears to be teasing the “Voodoo” aspect of the upcoming season by making the woman look like a living, breathing Voodoo Doll. Many are familiar with the notion of Voodoo dolls, and picture them with needles to represent some sort of pain. However, the New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum explains that Voodoo dolls can “be used for love, for power and domination, for luck, for uncrossing and, yes, in some evil ways, for harm.”

“Pins And Needles” follows the release of the first teaser video, “Detention.” The “Detention” video, which was posted on the “American Horror Story” Facebook page, showed eight girls facing a white wall and hovering in the air.

“American Horror Story: Coven” premieres on Oct. 9. Returning cast members include Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Jamie Brewer, Denis O’Hare and Alexandra Breckenridge. Newcomers to the series are Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, Emma Roberts and Patti LuPone.
