Will singing impressionist Daniel Ferguson make it to the next round of competition in “America’s Got Talent” Season 12? NBC

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 will introduce a slew of new contestants for week 3 on Tuesday, June 13.

A day ahead of its airing, NBC released a teaser featuring singing impressionist Daniel Ferguson. The 23-year-old auditionee, who works as a radio station sales representative, sang DNCE’s hit song, “Cake by the Ocean,” but with a hilarious twist.

In the clip released by People, Ferguson sings the song while impersonating different voices, including that of Simon Cowell’s. Host Tyra Banks commented on how good Ferguson is and even Cowell can seen laughing throughout his performance.

Prior to his performance, Ferguson admitted to Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum that his audition would be the first time he had ever performed in front of an audience. Despite his nerves, Ferguson finished his act with ease. However, it is unclear if he will make it to the next round of the competition.

Throughout the past two weeks, it has been evident how the aspiring contestants auditioning on “America’s Got Talent” have improved. Majority of the acts that are featured in the hit NBC reality TV competition make it through to the next round because they are impressive and unique.

In fact, just two weeks into the competition, two golden buzzer recipients have already been named. In the premiere, Mel B gave her golden buzzer to 12-year-old ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer and her puppet, Petunia. The young girl shocked everyone with her big voice.

During week 2, Cowell gave his golden buzzer to 29-year-old deaf singer Mandy Harvey, who lost all of her hearing when she was 18 years old. Harvey sang an original song that made the judges and audiences very emotional.

Other contestants who are worth watching but did not receive the golden buzzer include 9-year-old singer Angelica Hale, plane crash survivor and singer Kechi Okwuchi, mind reader Colin Cloud, smart dog Mia Moore, magician Will Tsai, comedian Preacher Lawson, roller skaters Billy and Emily England and torture stuntmen the Azeri Brothers.

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
