Hollywood's Royal Couple might just throw a Royal Wedding akin to that of William and Kate.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt only officially announced their engagement on Friday, April 13, and talk of the engagement ring, wedding dress and party plans has already begun.

After a seven-year romance, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have decided to make it official. Yes, it's confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy, Pitt's manager Cynthia Pett-Dante told the Associated Press Friday. There's no date set at this time. Brad designed the ring.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's romance has certainly been a whirlwind. The two met in the summer of 2004 while filming the action-packed Mr. and Mrs. Smith. At the time, Pitt was married to actress Jennifer Aniston. He and Jolie denied all rumors of an on-set romance. In October 2005, his divorce from Aniston became finalized and just three month later Jolie announced she was pregnant with her first child.

I put much more emphasis on being a satisfied man. I'm satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much, Pitt told Parade magazine in September 2011. A family is a risky venture, because the greater the love, the greater the loss... That's the trade-off. But I'll take it all.... One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I'm so happy to have her.

The couple has been debating a wedding for some months now.

While promoting her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey, in October, Angelina Jolie said: The kids asked me the other day [if there would be a wedding], and I asked them if it was just because they wanted to have a 'big cake.' They see movies that have the people getting married in the movies... you know, the happily ever after. Shrek and Fiona are married... We've explained to them that our commitment when we decided to start a family was the greatest commitment you could possibly have. Once you have six children, you're committed.

Pitt co-signed Jolie's statement that their children were pushing them down the aisle in January. We'd actually like to, he told The Hollywood Reporter of marrying Jolie, and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to do it till everyone can. But I don't think we'll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.

What began seeped in steamy scandal has evolved into something of love and fruitfulness. Surely, the A-listers' wedding will be one for the record books.

This is really a state wedding, Stephen Galloway, executive editor of features at The Hollywood Reporter, told The Associated Press. This is America's equivalent to Prince William and Kate Middleton.

He called the upcoming nuptials the media event of the new century.

Media and fans alike are already chattering about Angelina Jolie's engagement ring, her dress and party possibilities.

This is going to be a map of the inner state of their private life, Galloway told The AP. This is like Kremlinology. You'll be able to read all sorts of things into this wedding.

The Engagement Ring

The prominent engagement ring is giving the world a warning, Stephen Galloway of The Hollywood Reporter told The AP. It says look out, get ready.

Jolie was photographed on April 11 flaunting a very large diamond ring on a very important finger while out with Pitt and their son Pax. Immediately the media pounced on a possible Brangelina wedding. On Friday, the couple confirmed their engagement.

Photos of the diamond ring began circulating and it was revealed that Pitt custom-designed the bauble for Jolie with jeweler Robert Procop. I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt, a rep for the jeweler told Us Weekly of the engagement ring that took a whole year to create.

The rep gave further details to Us Weekly about the design of the engagement ring: Working closely with Brad Pitt to realize the star's vision for the ring, Robert Procop was able to source a diamond of the finest quality which was then transformed using Pitt's unique designs, cut with distinctive faceting to a shape and size that perfectly suits Angelina's long, slender fingers. Throughout, Brad Pitt remained heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design process from the perfect cut of the diamond centerpiece - an elongated tablet shape - to the finishing touches such as the mounting of a galaxy of smaller stones which are graduated in size and faceted to match, adding a crowning lustre to the ring. The full creative journey - from conception to completion - took a year, with Brad Pitt waiting until the perfect moment to unveil this special jewel to Angelina Jolie.

The Wedding Dress

Every single designer on the planet will be pursuing Angelina for the dress, Stephen Galloway told The AP. It's literally worth millions of dollars in business.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's wedding could boost a designer's reputation even more than the Oscars itself. The prestige and the sheer exposure can solidify a well-known designer's position in fashion history or it can launch a new designer's entire career.

Publications are already speculating on who the designer will be. Grazia Daily has picked out some of its favorite designer wedding frocks; while Celebuzz Photoshopped Jolie's face onto other famous brides' bodies.

Okay, so a date hasn't been set yet and Brad and Ange are more likely to get hitched on a deserted Tibetan mountain than in front of the world's media a la Kim Kardashian but! This hasn't stopped us from picturing THE perfect wedding dress (what? who's getting carried away?), wrote Grazia Daily's Jessica Vince.

Jolie's style is sharp, streamlined and classic. She sticks to timeless pieces with expertly-tailored silhouettes; yet, she is still a woman unafraid to push boundaries. The 36-year-old actress does not favor any one particular designer. Those whose designs she frequents include Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Michael Kors, Jenny Packham, Giorgio Armani and Gucci. She typically opts for Jimmy Choos and Lorraine Schwartz jewels for red carpet events, as well.
