Some “Counting On” fans have been dying to see Jana Duggar in a courtship, but Anna Duggar likes her single status. On Tuesday’s Season 2 installment of the TLC series, Josh Duggar’s wife admitted she enjoys having her husband’s eldest sister to lean on in her times of need.

“Jana has been such an encouragement and such a rock this past year of my life. She is such a treasure,” Anna told the cameras. As previously reported, the mother of four has been going to marriage counseling with Josh after he admitted to being unfaithful and was treated at a center for a pornography addiction. Despite their hardships, the couple just celebrated eight-year wedding anniversary.

While Anna said she thinks Jana, 26, will make “an amazing wife one day,” she said she’s grateful she’s so available to her now. “Selfishly, for right now, I’m so thankful that I’ve had her as just a shoulder to cry on, someone to just laugh with, cry with, pray with,” she said. “She’s such a treasure.”

Jana said equally positive remarks about her sister-in-law in episode 8. “We have a really good relationship with Anna. She really is just like one of our sisters. [We] call her our sister,” she said. “We get to see her quite often. They don’t live too far away and so that’s good. We get to hang out with her and spend a lot of time with her.”

Tuesday’s “Counting On” followed Jana as she continued to renovate her parents’ guest home ahead of her sister Jill Dillard’s family’s return from their extended mission trip in Central America. Jana was shown roping in her siblings to help her complete the project in four days, a timeframe which impressed Anna. With her brothers assembling furniture and doing yard work, she and her sisters completed the decorating, but that was far from the most exciting storyline in the episode.

After weeks of teasing an engagement between Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo, the pastor finally popped the question in “Proposal in the City.” Under the guise that she and Jeremy were going to a New York City rooftop for a romantic photoshoot, he asked her to marry him and she quickly agreed.

“This woman who I love and want to spend the rest of my life with is now my fiancée... It’s almost inexplicable the feeling in that moment,” he told the cameras, hinting their wedding would not be too far away.

“Counting On” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
