A dummy model for the Apple iPhone 8 has recently been shown off on in a new hands-on video. The iPhone 8 dummy looks pretty similar to previous leaks suggesting that this might be the iPhone 8’s final look when it launches this fall.

The hands-on video for the iPhone 8 dummy was shared by Benjamin Geskin (@VenyaGeskin1) on Twitter. The video shows the handset being turned 360 degrees giving everyone a look at its front, back and sides.

Like previously leaked in-the-wild photos, the new video once again shows glass panels on the front and back, while the handset comes with a very reflective stainless steel frame. The design is very reminiscent of the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4s.

One thing that really stands out in the hands on video for the iPhone 8 dummy is that the device appears to be thicker than Apple’s current iPhone lineup, as pointed out by 9To5Mac. The iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus are both rumored to feature thicker bodies, but the same hasn’t been said about the iPhone 8.

Geskin said last month that the iPhone 8 will only be 7.1mm thin, the same measurement of the iPhone 7. He also says that the stainless steel frame will be colored black to match the iPhone 8’s color. The handset featured on the video is just a dummy or a mockup, so it’s very likely that the final version of the iPhone 8 may still look different.

IBT reported yesterday that a PowerPoint presentation for the iPhone 8 was leaked online. One of the slides featured the the device’s back with the Touch ID sensor placed on the back just beneath the Apple logo.

With Geskin’s hands-on video however, there’s no Touch ID to be seen. There also appears to be no physical home button up front. Some analysts believe that Apple might forgo placing the Touch ID sensor entirely. However, the most popular rumor that's going around is that Apple will be placing its Touch ID sensor beneath the OLED display.

Speaking of OLED display, Geskin’s video doesn’t really show the iPhone 8’s display turned on. It’s really impossible to see if the handset will feature a bezel-less, all-screen design up front. Previous leaked renders show that the iPhone 8 will have a near-all-screen design, but the top portion of the will have a slim bezel for the earpiece, sensors and the frnont-facing camera.

The video once again shows that the camera module on the back of the iPhone 8 will be positioned vertically. The pill-shaped camera module also appears to have the same stainless steel frame that’s found on the handset’s sides.

Geskin is a Twitter-based leaker who’s gaining some notoriety in the last few months. His track record hasn’t been proven or disproven yet by actual shipping products, according to AppleInsider. He did’t disclose where he was able to get the iPhone 8 dummy, nor did he share how the dummy was made.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 8 this fall alongside the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. It’s widely believed that the iPhone 8 release date might be delayed to October and November because of production issues.
