Are ‘Underworld’ Star Kate Beckinsale And ‘TRL’ Co-Host Matt Rife Back Together?

Kate Beckinsale and Matt Rife’s romance is back on.

A source close to Beckinsale recently told Us Weekly that the “Underworld” actress and the “TRL” co-host are “hanging out again.”

While Beckinsale and Rife have yet to personally reveal the real score between them, the two were spotted on a movie date in Los Angeles on the night of Nov. 17. In the photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Beckinsale and Rife are kissing at the lobby of Westfield Century City’s AMC Century City 15.

Beckinsale and Rife were first linked together after they were spotted making out outside of Villa Lounge in West Hollywood, California in June.

A source told Entertainment Tonight at the time that the 44-year-old actress met Rife, 22, through a mutual friend. Despite their huge age difference, the source said that Beckinsale’s friends and family approve of Rife. “Everyone in Kate’s circle loves Matt and are so supportive of this relationship,” the insider said. “He really is the sweetest guy and makes her so happy! Her entire family thinks he is the nicest and most lovely person. He is very mature for his age and is a great guy.”

But a after a “couple of fun dates,” a source told Us Weekly last August that Beckinsale and Rife’s romance “fizzled out.” “[The relationship between the two was] supposed to be fun and light, but then he was talking about moving in only a couple weeks [into their fling],” a source recently told Us Weekly. “When they’re together, it’s fine. But she’s busy working and has a family. … Her family comes first, not him.”

Beckinsale shares 18-year-old daughter Lily Mo with ex Michael Sheen. Beckinsale and Sheen’s relationship lasted for eight years, but the two were never married. Despite their split, Beckinsale and Sheen remain close friends. “He’s really dear, close family. He’s somebody I’ve known since I was 21 years old. I really love him a lot,” Beckinsale said of Sheen during her 2016 appearance on “Popcorn With Peter Travers.”

Prior to her relationship with Rife, Beckinsale was married to “Underworld” director Len Wiseman from 2004 to 2016.
