Osama Bin Laden's Death Photo Prepared for Release

President Barack Obama and other administration officials are considering releasing a photo of Osama bin Laden's corpse on Tuesday, according to a report.

Also being considered for release are videos from "helmet cams" of the Navy SEALS elite team that carried out the operation in a town just north of Islamabad, Pakistan, ABC News reported. The troops captured the mission on tape wearing the helmet cameras.

"We are looking at releasing additional information, details about the raid as well as any other types of material, possibly including photos. We want to understand exactly what the possible reaction might be to the release of this information," White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan said, according to the report.

"Any types of material related to the raid, we need to make sure that we make the right decisions," he said, adding that the administration did not want to compromise future potential operations with releases.

"There's no doubt it's him," a US official who saw the pictures told ABC News on Monday.

A photo shows a massive head wound above his left eye where he was shot, with brains and blood visible, according to the report.

Video footage of Bin Laden’s million dollar compound provided by ABC News in a town just outside of the Pakistani capital shows heavily blood soaked carpets in a pair of rooms in the compound.

The U.S. team of Navy SEALs who raided the compound in helicopters were on the compound for less than 40 minutes and did not encounter any local authorities during the raid, according senior Obama Administration official.
