Mississippi River Flooding (Photos)
The Mississippi River crested at 48 feet (14.69 meters) in Memphis, Tennessee. It was the highest water level for Memphis since 1937, when the river reached 48.7 feet (14.8 meters).
For the upcoming several days, high waters will move towards the lower Mississippi river through Louisiana.
The flooding, which has already put portions of Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas under water, is among the largest and most damaging ever along the river.
