The transfer deadline is Wednesday at 11 pm, and Manchester United might still be in store for some changes.

At the moment, Wesley Sneijder is still at Inter Milan after several weeks of rumours linking him to Manchester United. Some reports suggested that Sneijder would lower his wage demands to join the Red Devils, and now that Samir Nasri has moved on to Manchester City, United appear to be the only club that has any real chance of landing the Dutch star.

Even Sneijder is unclear how things will turn out between now and Wednesday night.

At this point I don't think I will move. But, on the other hand, my move to Real Madrid was solved within eight hours. Things can move fast, Sneijder told reporters.

Earlier this month, Daily Mail reported that Sneijder would be moved to Manchester United for a £32 million fee.

Should Sneijder stay at Inter, it's possible that Sir Alex Ferguson will continue to seek a replacement for Paul Scholes by pursuing Santos midfielder Ganso. The Red Devils are considering a late bid for the young Brazilian, according to Caughtoffside.com.

There are also rumours of players leaving Old Trafford. The Sun reports that Nemanja Vidic could be moved to Anzhi Makhachkala for £25 million fee. The Russian club have already proven their wealth by bringing in Samuel Eto'o and Yuri Zhirkov, but taking away perhaps the best centre back in the world from perhaps the most prominent club, seems like an enormous stretch.

A more reasonable rumour is Darron Gibson moving on to Aston Villa or Blackburn Rovers. Gibson is basically out of Ferguson's plans, but the 23-year-old midfielder is out for four weeks due to an ankle injury. Gibson should be heavily involved in January transfer talks.

Meanwhile, Daily Mirror reports that Sunderland are looking to add forward Federico Macheda on loan.
